Lawns get away from everyone — after a wet spring, a holiday, a move, or a rental sitting empty. Overgrown grass needs a different approach to a normal mow: it's cut down in stages, the edges are dug out again, and the heavy clippings are cleared so they don't smother the lawn.
After the first cut, the lawn will look short and a little patchy for a week or two while it recovers. Put it on a regular round and it'll be thick and green again within a few visits.

How overgrown lawns are priced
The first cut of an overgrown lawn takes much longer than a normal mow, so it's priced as a one-off clean-up. Text a few photos and we'll give you a fixed price.
Once it's back under control, the lawn drops to your normal regular-round price.

How long can the grass be?
Any length. Very long grass and weeds are brought down in stages so the mower cuts cleanly instead of tearing.
Why does the first cut cost more?
An overgrown lawn can take two or three times longer than a regular mow, with extra clippings to clear. After the first cut, you pay the normal regular price.
Will my lawn look brown after the cut?
It may look short and a bit yellow for a week or two, because the grass underneath hasn't had sun. It greens up quickly, especially on a regular round.
Do you take away all the clippings?
Yes. Heavy clippings from an overgrown lawn are raked up and removed so they don't smother the grass.
Can you look after a vacant or rental property?
Yes — we regularly mow rentals and empty homes. Owners and property managers get a photo after each visit.
Can you get it back on a regular schedule?
Yes. After the first cut, most clients go onto a fortnightly (summer) and 4-weekly (winter) round so it never gets out of hand again.
